The Alliance for Communication Democracy in was founded in 1988 and for 18 years we have been fighting to preserve and strengthen community access to media. Though the odds against us have been high, and the mega-media, corporate foes well-heeled and powerful, time and again we’ve won in the courts. We can’t continue this critical work without your support. With the ramifications of the 1996 Telecommunications Act manifesting themselves, and new legislation on the horizon, we must be vigilant if we are to prevail and preserve democratic communications. If not us, who? If not now, when?
